      Our Process

      1

Step 1 : Receiving Your Blades

Once we receive your blades, we check them into our system and send you an automated email to confirm their receipt. To ensure that your blades stay linked to you throughout the entire process, we immediately laser-etch your name and QR code on the front of each blade for full tracing and trackability.

      2

Step 2 : Polishing and Cleaning

We clean all blades using an ultrasonic bath and a nylon wire brush, which removes debris from the tooth without causing damage. This process leaves your blades looking brand new.

      3

Step 3 : Measuring and Inspection

After cleaning, we measure and inspect each blade, noting any significant runout and marking it for proper grinding. Blades needing tip work or that cannot be ground are identified and weeded out at this point in the process.

      4

      Step 4 : Grinding

Your blades are top and face ground using our state-of-the-art CNC saw grinders. Once ground, we visually inspect each blade to ensure that it meets our rigorous standards, with 95% of the teeth within .002″ tolerance and no two teeth more than .004″ apart in height.

      5

      Step 5 : Shipping

Prior to shipping your blades back to you, we dip them in a protective wax coating. If you sent your blades in boxes or a special case, we’ll send them back to you in the same packaging. Otherwise, your blades will be shipped in our custom-designed boxes for saw blade shipping, separated by custom-made cardboard dividers to fit the blade profile.

      FAQ for Saw Blade Sharpening

How often should I get my saw blades sharpened?

The frequency of sharpening depends on how often you use your saw blade and the type of material you cut. Generally, saw blades used for woodworking should be sharpened every 10-20 hours of use, while blades used for cutting metal or concrete should be sharpened every 2-3 hours of use.

Can I sharpen my saw blades myself?

While there are DIY sharpening kits available, we recommend leaving saw blade sharpening to the professionals. Improper sharpening techniques can damage the blade, and it's difficult to achieve the same level of precision as a professional sharpening service.

What types of saw blades can you sharpen?

We can sharpen all types of saw blades, including circular saw blades, band saw blades, and handsaw blades. We also work with blades made of different materials, such as carbide, diamond, and steel.

How do I know if my saw blade needs sharpening?

Signs that your saw blade needs sharpening include a decrease in cutting speed, a decrease in the quality of the cut, and an increase in the amount of sawdust produced.

How long does it take to sharpen a saw blade?

The turnaround time for sharpening a saw blade depends on the type of blade and the size of the order. Typically, it takes us 2-3 business days to sharpen a single saw blade.

How do I place an order for saw blade sharpening?

You can place an order for saw blade sharpening on our website. Simply select the type of blade you need sharpened, the number of blades, and any additional services you require. We offer free shipping for orders over a certain amount.

      4 Point Inspection Process

A 4-point inspection process for saw blade sharpening typically includes the following steps:

Visual Inspection : The saw blade is first visually inspected for any visible damage, such as chips, cracks, or warping. If any such damage is found, the blade is rejected for sharpening and sent back to the customer for repair or replacement.

Tooth Check : The next step is to check the teeth of the saw blade. The teeth are checked for proper alignment, shape, and sharpness. Any teeth that are damaged, chipped, or worn out are either repaired or replaced before proceeding with the sharpening process.

Blade Straightness Check : The saw blade is then checked for straightness. This is done by placing the blade on a flat surface and checking for any warping or bending. If the blade is not straight, it may cause uneven cuts or damage to the material being cut. In such cases, the blade is rejected for sharpening.

Final Inspection : After the blade has been sharpened, it is inspected once again to ensure that the sharpening process was successful. The blade is checked for sharpness and evenness of the teeth, and any issues that arise are addressed before the blade is returned to the customer.

By following a 4-point inspection process, saw blade sharpening professionals can ensure that the blades are in optimal condition, and the customer receives blades that perform to the highest standards.
